Brilliant.
Excellent little torch. I mainly use it for night hiking and is essential for my job. Having the 1000 lumens is pretty useful but even 38 lumens is spot on for getting about at night. Single button operation is a very efficient design. The head band is extremely comfortable to wear - probably the most comfortable of the many head torches I have owned. Although the casing is aluminium, the torch is light in weight. This torch is a keeper!
Bright light, different levels helps in my work
This headtorch is more than adequate for a range of tasks from camping to trail walking in the dark, from a dim nightlight to read a book to a blast of light that can light up the trail. Comfortable to wear if only a tad on the heavy side.
Quality compact bright light
Great head lamp, so much more powerful than the one (from a different manufacturer) that it replaced. The light produced is about 3/4 that of my Nitecore MH20, which is pretty amazing for a head lamp. The USB charging facility is really convenient, and a major reason why I chose the HC60. Build quality is top notch and it is comfortable to wear and not too heavy or cumbersome. Highly Recommended.
Description
The Nitecore HC60 has a maximum output of 1000 lumens from the Cree XM-L2 U2 and is powered by a 3400mAh 18650 Li-ion battery (included ). It is also compatible with CR123A non-rechargeable cells.
The HC60 has inbuilt charging facility via micro USB (lead included) and features a protective cap, which shields the charging port from any damage and ensures a water tight seal. The innovative charging design ensures that power to the battery is terminated automatically once charging is complete.
Advanced temperature regulation (ATR) ensures that the light is kept at a safe working temperature, extending the LED life.
Comes complete with headband and a unique mount that allows the light to be angled up and down 90 degrees.
Featuring five brightness levels plus location beacon, strobe and SOS modes, the HC60 head torch has been purpose designed for hiking, climbing, camping and general outdoor use.
Available in cool white or warm, neutral white.
