18/11/2025Good build quality, extremely bright on the brightest setting, although the standard setting is more than fine most of the time, and with the Li-ion battery it lasts ages on a charge. Would definitely recommend.

11/06/2025Really impressed with this headlamp. The light pattern is good and the colour is a bit warmer than the Petzl lights I have which I find cause a lot of reflection from rain, dew etc - this can be a bit disorientating when running so it's nice that this isn't an issue with the Nitecore HA15. It's super light and is probably fine on the low 100 Lumens setting for most running scenarios (I have the 14500 battery option) and this offers a long run time with nice low weight. I plan to run with one on my head and then using the clip, one clipped to a waist belt. This feels like a nice combo for relatively low cost. Extra kudos to Nitecore.co.uk for sending the clip that was missing from the original packaging, they were responsive on email and sent a replacement for the next day.

Description
The Nitecore HA15 UHE headlamp has a maximum output of 400 lumens (when using NL1411R battery) or 200 lumens (when using an alkaline AA battery) from the 6 x NiteLab UHE LEDs. Choose from an included alkaline AA or the Nitecore NL1411R li-ion battery.
At just 65g (including an alkaline AA battery and headband), the HA15 UHE is lightweight and ideal for outdoor adventures such as camping, trekking and running or more general use such as DIY or back-up emergency lighting.
The light is operated by dual switches on top of the headlamp; the power button turns the light on, off and adjusts the brightness level and the mode button switches between the light modes and special outputs. Press and hold both switches simultaneously for 2 seconds to enter and exit lockout mode.
The headtorch comes with a diffusing stuff sack which can convert the light into a camping lantern or for storage when it is not in use. The lightweight, breathable headband has a hollow, anti-slip design with reflective detailing for additional safety.

Advanced temperature regulation (ATR) regulates the output of the HA15 UHE according to the working and ambient temperature to maintain optimal performance while preventing the LED from overheating. The outputs are measured in total of runtime, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanisms in the design, causing the brightness level to drop down.
Maximum beam distance 60 meters (using AA alkaline battery) or 80 meter (using NL1411R), waterproof to IP66 and resistant to impacts up to 1 meter.
